This is a random selection from the 763 tunes that are in my iTunes Xmas 'smart' playlist (genre listed as Xmas). *Yes, Jethro Tull - I could hardly pass that up for my November eMusic downloads now could I?

Of course, there aren't 763 different tunes as the list includes several renditions of my favorites by various artists. +And, yes, although an atheist (12 years of parochial education lost on me I'm afraid - well, the religious aspects anyway), Schubert's Ave Maria is perhaps my all time favorite (I don't generally care for Gonoud's version although I do have one quite nice variation by Yo Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin). Much like an appreciation for religious art as art I do enjoy many of the religious hymns of this season, particularly those peformed in Latin (must be a remnant from my school choir days).

I'll be back with a post on my lengthy absence (tentatively, Motorcycles, Evolution, the State of Modern Emergency Medicine and My Religious Conversion) Until then, peace and have a delightful holiday.
